The Tango Alchemie festival brings tangueros from around the world to meet on the threshhold (Prague), in the heart of Europe, to celebrate the transformational aspects of the dance. The event is a 4 day intimate exploration into tango as practical human alchemy. The four events are dedicated to the stages of the Great Work- Black/dissolution, White/purification, Red/union, and Gold/transformation. The festival always occurs at or near to the longest day of the year, the summer Solstice, June 21. Festival 2010 |
